  • Valliyoorkavu Bhagavathi Temple - Wayanad, Kerala

    8 Km east of Mananthavady. The temple is dedicated to the mother goddess manifest in the three principal forms of Vana Durga, Bhadrakali and Jala Durga.The two week long festival in February/March is a major event attended by thousands of people.

    This Temple is dedicated to Mother Goddess, mainfest in three principal forms of Vana Durga, Bhadrakali and Jala Durga is an important place of worship for the tribal communities in Wayanad. The annual 15 day festival is in March/April. The temple is 24 Km away from Kalpetta, 31 Km away from Sulthan Bathery and 5 Km away from Mananthavady.
