Soochippara waterfalls are really a treasure of nature. Alight from your drive and take a one Km. walk through the dense equatorial forest of Wayanad. You will discover nature at its thundering best. Soochippara is a three tiered powerful waterfall. The cliff face here is ideal for rock-climbing, but for true professionals only.

The waterfalls at Soochippara near Meppadi is really a treasure of nature, yet to be discovered. The stretches of waterfalls ranging at places from 100 to 300 feet height is a treat to the eyes. The pool below, provides for water rafting, swimming, bathing, etc. The tree top huts at Soochippara give an unique view of the valleys of the Western Ghats and the glimmering shallow waters of the surrounding springs. These waterfalls are an endless natural splendour amidst dark and deep woods.

The literal meaning of Suchi in the local language is needle. The fall is 22 Km from Kalpetta and is perhaps the most attractive one around. The three layered fall, also known as the Sentinel Rock Falls, is situated amidst thick equatorial forests and you will need to undertake a 12 Km walk to reach it. On reaching as you look up, the beauty of fall hits you almost instantly
